The Saddle Mountain area offers free dispersed camping on BLM land in the beautiful Sonoran Desert just south of I-10, 50 miles west of Phoenix, Arizona. There's nothing but scenery out there, but that was just fine for us as we needed a place to unwind and slow down for a couple of days, with good cell signal so that we could work online in peace for our employer, and get caught up on editing upcoming videos for our Grand Adventurers. It also makes a wonderful free stopover for RV travelers en route between Phoenix and Los Angeles.
